The idea of an "ancient structure of people, buildings and lives." The idea of a “nation kept new until today". And what may possibly be the felling of the visitors, of those who see it for the first time? Or of those who have witnessed its renovation? We asked around. September is also a good month to remember that "Afonso is the name of a King and a realm born and raised in Guimarães" and that "Guimarães is the name of a Castle, home of Afonso":   yes, we are alluring you to the Feira Afonsina. September is also the month of Big Gang! Can you imagine an orchestra with 300 people on stage? This is another idea you can count on because on September 9th it will become real!

Of course we will carry on with exhibitions, like for instance, to show you as contemporary art uses textiles as raw creative material at Contextile 2012 - Triennial of Contemporary Textile Art, or to show you what's new in Brazilian cinema and open the doors of Fundação Orquestra Estúdio (Studio Orchestra Foundation). But not everything is a spotlight. Not all moments are ON. Sometimes we are OFF. In moments of reflection, of foresight ... And they are not lesser moments.
